November CDs were shipped out today! This is much later than I had hoped for, but I promise it will be worth the wait. Personally, I think this is my best mix since June. July-October have been solid, of course, but I haven't been this excited to listen to one of my CDs since Flag Day. I really hope you enjoy and feel free to argue about the best (and worst) mixes in the comments! Where the Wild Things Are pretty much made me cry. I held it together better than the little girl behind me (what a pansy), but I was really moved by it. It remains one of my favorite books of all time, and the movie met and maybe even surpassed my expectations.

It was tough for me to be emotional watching the movie. It wasn't funny enough to laugh, sad enough to cry (at least for me), or scary enough to be afraid. I found myself feeling tense or in suspense most. I completely forgot Max was only imagining everything and that there's no way he'd have let himself get eaten, but I worried for him regardless.
ReplyDeleteThe Gibbard Farrar tune is pretty good. I streamed it from NPRs' website when they released it. I think the title of the song/documentary is slighlty curious. I feel like it should be One fast move and I'm gone instead of or. I'm sure that was Jack's words though...
